Balancing life's twists and turns
When 10-year-old Cierra Anderson of Two Rivers vaults and tumbles her way to the top of one gymnastics competition after another, it's hard to tell she's autistic.
Her long, blonde hair goes flying as her petite frame bounces along the trampoline-like surface of a tumble track one recent morning. She looks lighter than air as she propels herself into a handspring and front tuck, landing squarely on a soft floor mat.
Her name appears at the very top of the list of meet results for a recent gymnastics invitational in Oshkosh. Vault: 9.325. Bars: 9.375. Beam: 9.450. Floor: 9.775. All-around score: 37.925 (out of 40). view article
