Both Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton 'had autism' (Hindustan Times)

They were certainly creative geniuses. But what was the common trait between Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton? Well, both had "autism".

A leading psychiatrist at Trinity College in Dublin has claimed that both Einstein and Newton displayed signs of autism spectrum disorders, including Asperger syndrome, which were the same as those associated with creative genius.

Einstein, who is credited with developing the theory of relativity, and Newton, who discovered the laws of gravity, had those traits to varying degrees, according to Professor Michael Fitzgerald.

I've never doubted that these guys were autistic. I think Newton was an Aspie and Einstein was a HFA, since he had a lot of HFA symptoms as well (Dyrspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia etc.).

I think this same Dr. Michael Fitzgerald tried to Aut hitler. This is the only tarnish I have read in an otherwise creditable study.

I hope these Indian children get some sort of educational and employment assistance because of this study. Not all Aspies are able to make it independently without help.
