Who knows? That dolphin could be the dolphin equivalent of a Casanova wannabe who thinks he's hot s**t, but is just a dud.

It's an old story. Lots of male dolphins have behaved that way and been reported from time to time in the news. I think the first time I heard about such things was more then 35 years ago, and it was ancient history then. In fact, the article mentions the "Flipper" TV show. I remember reading they had problems like that, in making the show. The dolphin is friendly, knows people are okay and not threatening and do fun things, probably get's petted and... well, you tell me... what happens when you try and rub the tummy of a male dog? Or male human, for that matter! It's not brain surgery to figure out. It doesn't take a lot to make a male mammal think about such things. What else is new?

Maybe all he needs is a matchmaker. Just get an equally amorous female dolphin for ole' Casanova. That'll solve their problems.

I misread the title as "Amorphous dolphin" .... that brought to mind some interesting images and many questions. :P
