(*The title does not refer to suicide.)

This is an interesting concept. This man is basically saying, "Ya know what? I suck at my life. Maybe another man can take it over, and do better at it, and I'm willing to give anyone that chance who wants it."

There have been similar stories, of course, but it's still interesting philosophically: You realize that something is definitely wrong with your life. And, upon reflection, you decide, "Hey, maybe it's me. Maybe I'm what's wrong with my life. Let's find out; let's put someone else in the saddle, and see how they do."

Sounds a bit defeatist.. I see what you're getting at, but wouldn't it be just as easy to identify what parts of your life are wrong and set about changing them, instead of throwing everything out?

This is quite humorous! Of course, as an alternative to giving up your life to another, you could always, you know... change yourself, if you are indeed the nucleus of the problem.

Well, it's more along the line of thought of: "This life is the wrong size. Do you have another I can try on? Or better yet, I'll become a tailor. :P "

Ha ha, that is very funny and I have felt exactly the same.

I have often thought that maybe someone else would like to try my life when its been really challenging. The question that goes hand in hand with that is: whose life would I swap with? that puts it into perspective for me since everyone has things they struggle with.

I wonder if the buyer (I assume it is a man?) will have to pay support child care costs? Or does the wife have a say in this? What is her view?

i think she said it was a crazy idea. there are no child support payments because there are no kids.

Sounds like a grand adventure is starting for him. That being said, you usually cannot run from trouble.
