Well I hate to say it but YAY CHINA it is indeed a baby step however any step forward is a step towards a better future. Now if the US would start pushing for solar cells being merged with cars.

So, 30 hours for a charge? So, you could use the car every other day for work

Lol, I hope they live in the Arctic Circle half the year and the other pole the other half. Last time I checked the day was 24 hours, usually 10 to 12 of that is night.

Um, the article said nothing about how the charge was accumulated, or stored, but I got the impression maybe a solar panel on the car itself, like a calculator on wheels?
