How many innocent people do the rioters have to kill and businesses need to be destroyed before the people now throwing fire bombs are satiated?

it took a few months for the Parisian rioters to drop it so I'm thinking about that long as well... those southern tempers...

all I know is the Greek police shot a kid, in a manner people thought was unjust. However, there's a lot of other problems in Greece right now with the government, and this was the straw that broke the Camel's back.

It's always one mistake by a cop that makes all hell break loose... I remember the race riots we had in Cincinnati because a cop got scared and shot a black criminal who turned out to be unarmed. Those were not fun times. Nothing anywhere near the problems they're facing in Greece, though.

When the times get rough people turn to one of two things, religion or communism. I see a resurgence of communism in Greece.

Anyone from Greece here? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't understand what's going on there. If the kid really was shot while throwing a petrol bomb I don't have any sympathy for him and I don't see why anyone else would. If that wasn't what happened, and I suspect it wasn't, then the protesting is certainly justified, but the senseless smashing and burning destroys the credibility of the protesters. :? It always seems like there's lots of people out there just waiting for any excuse to trash things. :(

Especially given that the man who shot the kid has already been arrested and criminal charges against him are pending... it's not as though the government is being evil. A cop screwed up, and that individual cop should face the legal consequences of his individual actions.
