Our current kitties are all indoor (except for walks on leash) but about 20 years ago we had a cat who stole glasses from our neighbors' yards. Most were broken, some only temple pieces, but they were safety glasses, sunglasses, and one pair of reading glasses (broken). She was a big cat, but she had to come over some high fences to bring them home. We only found 1 owner of her loot.

I had used to have a cat that stole my watch all the time and hid it. She also hid my chapstick and it was 6 months after she died before I found it. I loved that little kitty! She was so much fun!

my family once had a cat that used to jumpfrom the floor to the draws and then to the top bunkbed every night, my mum gave my brother a really hard time formonths because she thought he was taking the cat to bed with him  . he also used to walk with us to school and was pretty smart for a cat, as well as having better manners than this one.

i've not heard of a cat 'collecting' before though, i know certain birds like shiny objects but a cat collecting soft toys? maybe it's just greedy.
