Girls have a better sense of taste than boys. Every third child of school age prefers soft drinks which are not sweet. Children and young people love fish and do not think of themselves as being fussy eaters. Boys have a sweeter tooth than girls. Teenagers taste differently. And finally, schoolchildren in northern Denmark have the best taste buds.

That seems hard to believe. Categorically, entirely, across-the-board? I doubt it.

They also say that women can see in the dark better then men.

Women are more sensitive to touch and smell, too (though I don't know about seeing in the dark), and are less likely to lose hearing with age than men. There's a long list of research on sex differences. I didn't know that about Denmark, though. Who sponsored that research? The Danish? :D

not really, you could say men are superior because we're less picky with what we eat, or that we don't need to pick up certain taste-warnings we get from food ;)

i think it's strange how when science proves men are better than women at something everyone classes it as sexist yet when it's the other way around it's a great discovery :?

My remark was actually out of sarcasm, but I totally agree with you. In fact some of the most sexist people I've met are feminists who "only care about making men and women equal."

Not according to the linked to article. It clearly states
"One of the many findings shows that girls are generally better at recognising tastes than boys.". Generally means not necessarily categorically and possibly not across-the-board.

... and the most racist people I've ever met were not caucasian.

"I can't be racist! I'm black!" claimed the most recent one.

Funny thing, I saw an article, not official, a while ago stating that half of women are tetrachromats, saying, that is why women are better with taste on design and with color taste and stuff like that, as I remember reading it, when in fact it is believed to be actually 3% of all women, which is a rare thing.

That means that not every girl fits the stereotype.

Damn near impossible to prove that as a categorical statement. What about all the blind and visually impaired women in the world? All the blind men?

This is a scientific study based on a large sample. The results form a hypothesis. In this case, the study's conclusion is:

1. A Generalization - Not everyone is the same, but a pattern was observed within the confines of this study.

2. A Hypothesis, Not A Fact - Further research would need to be conducted in this area, including a possible replication of this study, in order to support the conclusion as what we call a "theory" (an idea supported by a large body of scientific evidence).

Men are superior in their own ways, women are superior in their own ways. All is balanced.

QFT.

There seems to be an inferiorority complex when it gets to the nasty debates between genders.

I find it hilarious when most people including females assume that men are more superior than women when it comes to belief systems, intellect, personas, behaviors, and tasks.

I think females as well as males assume that dominance equals power. But I look at dominance as diverse as genders. I define superiority as that which just comes natural such as a talent for competition or a talent for intuition. Sometimes one essential talent is either taken for granted or not looked upon as all that great.

IMO, cultures and societies differ as to what is thought to be superior and what is thought to be inferior. Almost all the time the inferior is more than likely subject to ridicule and looked down upon than their counterpart. This is one pattern I frequently see in human behavior.
