I believe this. More than 20% of the people in my department are late on a regular basis.

Btw, I take public transportation and I'm almost never late.

Of lot of those valid reasons for being late to work, I wonder if they are also made up excuses to save their job.

I don't have a job, but I take public transportation

there are a few people at my work that arrive late regularly.

i am mostly on time.

we all take public transport and sometimes arrive late through no fault of our own. because trains get cancelled or delayed quite a bit here in melbourne.

bloody connex(train operator company)!.

My bf's been late to work because of the snow and the switch in the tracks kept freezing so the train was unable to go to the airport where he works. So he had to wait for shuttles. He would even leave early for work too and still be late. It was so unpredictable he was one of the few employees who showed up for work because lot of them didn't want to go there in the snow.

I'm amazed that those people haven't been fired. I wonder if it's the same people all the time. I also don't think that it matters what part of the world employees live in. I think that 20% of the world's working population is late for work. I wasn't surprised to find this out.

That is very good news. That means 80 percent of the workers arrive on time or early.
