The one I saw was definitely not a sprite... could've been a Mountain Dew, but definitely not a sprite...

I was just having a bit of fun. I lived in Wichita, Kansas as a child, near McConnell AFB and one night my family were sitting out in the summer night in the 1950's, not a lot of light from the town or streetlights back then, and some of the experimental air craft were flying over the house - a usual site. Chasing the prototype jets were a little galaxy of fireflies, swarming around the craft and then trailing after and then bunching around the other one and trailing off. My mother went absolutely ape s**t, screaming and calling the neighbors. I went into a trance watching the scene unfolding in the air up above our heads with tears streaming down my face. My brother thought it was . . . miraculous, I guess would be the best word for it, and later he joined every science fair and took every honors science course. . and my dad. My dad turned on his heel and went to the basement and turned on his ham radio. Later he came out and took my mother into the house, as she was hysterical and the neighbor ladies couldn't calm her down. My mother forever talked about it and my father would never mention it again. There was something in the local paper about 'strange lights' being sited and since there had been all that fuss up from Roswell, New Mexico back in the late 1940's . . .
I, on the other hand, was converted on the spot and never had a problem believing that more things are in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in some philosophies.
