This one was a man, but more often than not it's a young woman in the costume, so be nice!

Why should the gender matter?

Damn, that mouse always scared me. I went a couple times for parties as a kid, and it freaked the hell out of me. The food was nasty, and the characters were frightening. Adding to my fear of people inside giant animal costumes like that.

Poor guy.

I suppose it doesn't from the standpoint of the need to be nice. It's just that the social response to a male mascot character may be different from the response to its (likely) female occupant.

When I was a teenager we went to Chuck E Cheese's with my younger sister and at the time it was quite a shock for me to see the male character remove the head mask to reveal a female occupant. It's such a big contrast for how I would interact with the character.

Mice should not be restaurants. Especially one that big and hangs around long enough to be named.

why were the kids trying to knock him over? :p i wonder anyway...that's really the only question that comes to my mind, i think they both reacted accordingly, if i heard my child was touched by anyone, i'd go off...also, the mouse was just tryin' to get away :P

Because young children are unruly, and like destroying things, especially if those things are named "Chuck" but are in fact mice and not Woodchucks.
