CHICAGO – Someone is disposing of placentas in a central Illinois sewage system and authorities want it to stop. Workers in Urbana on Thursday found a placenta in a filter that keeps large objects out of the sewage treatment plant — the third such find this year. So police have enlisted medical experts. "It was one of the weirdest calls I've ever received," said Julie Pryde, who heads the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District.

where are they coming from? This is so creepy.

Maybe be the fact that they don't look like them, aren't see through, and less likely to break up.

Something's not right in Urbana. You got to wonder what the heck is going on. I would guess the same person is doing. Morbid Curiosity is making me want to know who and why.

It's really illegal, whoever's doing it. Hospitals can't even throw out large amounts of blood in the regular trash or sewage, much less huge chunks of tissue. Gross.

It is most likely either;

1) Poor woman trying to avoid high hospital and medical costs
2) Woman being kept in captivity, perhaps a sex slave(s)
3) A religious or spiritual group

The babies are obviously being born, because the fetus would be thrown out with them.

Someone is not following guidelines and breaking the law. There are rules and regulations that all hospitals should follow. Maybe it's a midwife doing this? If it's a large hospital that's even worse. They should definitely know better.
Someone was doing something like this in California and they were finding large amounts of blood in the ocean, some of it was HIV positive, too.
