Here Rover, my what a big bone you've got 8O

Reminds me of that old story about a dead man found in a tree wearing a diving suit and flippers. Turned out he has been peacefully swimming underwater in the nearby sea while there was a forest fire. A fire service plane scooped up water to put out the fire and scooped up the diver too then dumped him into the burning forest! Life can be cruel sometimes in twisted ways. :o

Reminds me of This Snopes.com article describing that story to be a completely made-up urban legend.

that story was featured on the Darwin Awards website. (the one about the man being dumped into the forest fire)

. The mythbusters tested whether it was possible for a human to be sucked out of the water by one of those pumps, they found it was not possible.

as for the story of the man in the tree, with the gun. pretty sad. did a good job of hiding himself since he wasn't found for 29 years. i can't imagine how it would feel to have a loved one missing for that long then finally his body turns up.

Damn! I hate it when the truth gets in the way of a good story!

What did the bottom half of the story, about a disgruntled chinese man blowing himself up have to do with this man in the tree? That is an *awesome* way to go. and he was never found until now. That's absolutely amazing. I wonder how man people walked past that tree. why didn't they smell it?
