Yes, I like mine warm, not hot and often leave it for twenty minutes or more. It does actually make sense that hot liquids cause cancer if thought about logically. At such a high temperature it will scold the cells in the throat lining damaging or killing them. If such damage is repeated daily the body has to continuously replace the damaged cells. Cells can only divide a finite number of times before the genetic material degrades (except for stem cells). In effect the throat lining will be prematurely aged.
