Well, that's how politics are played most of the time.
It works to tell the people what they want to hear, but if things don't get done, people will start complaining. Then it will (in all logic) get very bad for those kinds of people.
Well, this view is coming from someone who is not from the UK. Nor am I a liberal democrat, but this is just my view on politics in general.
