Do any high school (or middle school, or college) Aspies here also have Tourette's syndrome? If so, how does yours work? (like, what twitches do you have?)

I have it, btw.

I twitch when no one's around, so I always assume I have it. :? No diagnosis.

Whenever I think of an unpleasent social memory, I twitch hardcore, and shout obscenities.

You can drive during rush hour? I end up parking. On what I thought was a freeway.

i have tourette's. i used to have facial twitches like raising eyebrows and such but i trained myself in junior high school to transfer them to less noticable muscle groups in my arms and legs and stomach. I still have ones in my neck, and one where i shake my head, and those give me headaches. Mostly arms and legs though.

I think I have Asperger's and Tourette's. I widen my eyes and tense up the back of my neck, like at the bottom edge of my skull, and I have recently been either coughing, laughing deeply or clearing my throat. They're more like compulsions, though.

Are the facial tics like raising an eyebrow and stuff just exclusive to tourette's or can other disorders have it as well? Can it just be a symptom of ASDs also?

To my understanding, several disorders, including ASDs, produce tics, as a side effect. However, a lot of these do this because the disorder gives you Tourette's on the side.

I'm not completely sure though.

By the way, Tourette's syndrome is on the spectrum, so it often comes packaged along with ASDs.
