Everyone in my anatomy class has to do a project/presentation on a neurological disease, so I am not only going to tell people I have it but I will also explain to the what AS is. Due to superior rote memorization I'm good at presenting, but think I may have a problem presenting Monday.

Usually I don't tell people why I have a monotone voice or other weird things because they don't have any idea what AS is and they probably won't stick around so I can explain.

only tell those who are close, that you truely and dearly treasure, or those you can just plain ol' trust

My partner in crime (Godrules272) and ‘guardian angels’ all know about it. They don’t judge me for it at all. I’m me no matter what to them. But most people who go to my school haven’t heard much about it. *sighs and finishes eating welcome casserole number 2*

Hans Aspserger did his research in Germany, and wrote it in German,
only until the 1980's his work got decently translated into english
Germany should definately know

Yes if I get the chance. But mostly I just talk to older adults. If they want to give me odd stares or say rude things that's their problem.

I don't say I have Aspergers since after what happened in childhood.
I got bullied by teachers and pupils; humiliation, discriminated and treated as a lower class for a couple of years before we got enough people to finally stop it and see it as a wrong.

Its more of a fear telling somebody, but the true fact is that after being around somebody for so long it just becomes obvious that your different and you get treated strangely because of it.
Some people will accept it and become friendlier, others are mean and treat me lower.

At college currently 1 person says its an excuse and although treats me as individual which makes me feel better than the past. I'm considered too weird to stick around his friends which escalates to most or if not more than half the class making me become a loner I didn't want to be.

TOTALLY agree with that. Which is why I've stuck to just telling the important people

Well, it depends on the situation a few of my closer friends know but quite a large amount of my friends don't.
One of my friends said it was just an excuse I am using for being mentally ret*d and annoying :(

I have noticed more then 3 friends at school with aspurgers without even asking them, so I took a couragous decision on telling them that I had it and they said "Oh really? I have that too!".

It's amazing how well Aspies get along in school :P

However I feel its not something you should wave about, like I wouldn't tell someone my favorite food out of the blue, or whether I fold or scrunch my toilet paper, only if the topic really comes up may I choose.

Same goes for sexual fetishes, we wouldnt' say out in the blue what we like, sometimes I feel the same about my aspies like it's embarresing to let someone know.

I don't tell people. I'm just afraid they might treat me different.

I don't tell people cos i'm no good at explaining things, and cos it's a complex condition that people might struggle 2 understand.
