It is a neurological diference between aspies and NT's

It depends on the situation.
I'm usually proud of my disorder when I'm not at school or when I'm in some kind of conflict.

Yes, I am.

I'm extremely proud of it, but he causes me so much problem.
But still. Because I got a very high IQ, and everyone should be proud of their differences.

Well, I think it's not precisely a matter of being proud of being an aspie, but more like a matter of being proud of who you are, with both the good and the bad things.

You may consider yourself unlucky, but this illness, neurological difference, of whatever you want to call it, shouldn't be a reason to love your whole persona less.

Hell Yeah. only, like, 10% of the people diagnosed w/ AS are female, so I'm really unique. I've always been told that I should be proud of what sets me apart, like my (apparently) great singing voice , my huge (yikes!) family , my writing and my really cool heritage .

Sometimes I feel like that, and sometimes might even be most of the time. Don't let it get you down. You'll learn to hope, this is a support group after all.
You can live a very successful life.

I have nothing to be either proud or ashamed of.

I am most definitely proud. How could I not? I don't see how people could label Asperger's as a disability, if all it really does for me is help me do better in most subjects and have a passion that most of my classmates can only ever dream about. Sure, my social faux pas and inadequacies can be bad, but I think the good parts far outweigh them.

I am. It makes me different and special and above all explains why I behave extremely and differently to others sometimes. It makes me feel less out of control.
And anyway none of us can help it so why let it bother you?
