Not really. They do not apeal to me. The only ones I read would be like Eragon.
I like science fiction and the "teen" labeled ones do have too much romance stuff in them.
So, mostly adult ones.

Generally no, but the Weetzie Bat books are still some of my favorites.

Stephenie Meyer and Jacqueline Wilson are good, but I don't really read many other teen books.

the only real teen books i've read would probebly have to be john marden ones, for some reason those appealed to me and seemed to be dealing with more realistic issues than other books around at the time.
also a book called candy by kevin brooks comes to mind, its the only real story i've read involving love that i actually liked, than again it is a fairly tragic dark love story so yeah..

Most of what I read is fantasy books aimed at teens and young adults, even though I have a really high reading level. (I don't like Twilight, by the way.)

It's because the adult fantasy books (at least the ones I have access to) are always long-winded and have a picture of some ugly woman and overly-muscled man on the front.

It always makes me mad the way some sort of romance is shoved into everything like the creator thought of it at the last minute. If I want to read about romance I'll get a romance book.

Not all teen books are shallow! Just the bright coloured ones (usually pink) that have guys and girls on the cover, sometimes with ice cream :P
There are quite a few good teen books out there though...

My reading level is out of this world, but some teen books I like. I love the Harry Potter books, and the Animorphs series, plus a few other Sci-Fi one's I can't remember the name of..

I've recently gotten into the Maximum Ride books, but I find the writing style sort of ameteurish. The author manages to create captivating characters, it's just that it feels like he's talking down to the reader, like he's trying to write in a style he thinks suitable for young adults. It's kind of inspired me to write my own novel, of which I think appeals to older teenagers. One of the only good young adult novels I've read was The Outsiders, as its themes were complex, yet easy to understand.

I grew up on fantasy like Harry Potter and Redwall, and by the time I was a preteen I was reading Lord of the Rings, The Wheel of Time, Ender's Game, Rama...

And now, I'm into Shakespeare and classic literature.

Even some good adult works seem to hold no meaning or depth next to the styles that I read currently; teen lit is pretty disgusting now.

However, I understand why they appeal to teens and I myself can even enjoy reading one, but only if I take it as simple entertainment rather than a literary experience.

It's like watching a shallow comedy or television show (such as reality shows): if you don't take them seriously or fool yourself into not questioning their worth, you can have a good time.

And where might they be? I never can find a good book aimed at teens.

I used to read them like crazy, they were so interesting. Now they seem really childish, and I only read nonfiction lately.

I refused to read books without pictures (big fan of Dick King Smith's Sophie books) until just before Harry Potter 4 came out in 2000 when I was 9 and I started reading them.
I don't tend to read much - books take too long and unless they hook me it can take months for me to finish them, even years if I stop and go back to them. However I can read pretty fast - I read Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time and Harry Potter 7 in under 24 hours.
I prefer shorter books and fiction, unless the non-fiction book is about a particular interest to me.
