Not a very active social life, but if I knew how to conversate I could probably more then easily maintain one. I go to a very small school, and my selfless actions and participation in things like the student government have gotten me quite a reputation. I think people want to be my friend, but I always end up scaring them off.

I'm hoping to change that. Lo and behold if there be any feeling better then being able to remember more then just sitting under a tree at recess time, or of being happier then when you're with good 'friends' :D

Having a social life is still pretty alien to me, to be honest.
Through school I never did have one, I was more the freak and was avoided... unless of course I was the target, where I would try to find someplace to hide or seek refuge.

Recently I've met some online friends in real life, and for once I actually feel apart of something. It's so good.. the only problem is these friends live over 4 hours away.. so.. eheh.. ^^;;

I also have trouble when it comes to age. Basically, I'm not really the age I am... like my age doesn't match.
Like I'm told always (by my dad usually) to make friends my own age, but I don't seem to click with people my own age.
I tend to get on much better and feel more comfortable with friends who are actually younger..

I don't see how getting drunk can be fun and all.. I mean you get really sick, end up dehydrated with a huge headache, and you could end up doing something you would regret.. how does that make sense in the world of fun?
Maybe we really, really have no clue on understanding how their minds work..

None at all. Only place I can talk to people is the internet so far and they noone online is the same as a real person. I have tried recently to get some people online to be my friend and talk to me, but I feel so bad at times and I know nothing of what to say and most of them just ignore me. :cry:

School life I was so tense during school I never said a word to anyone unless spoken to and rarely did that come out very well and noone wanted to be my friend.

:) [b][i]What I feel is that all of you responding to this social question are amazing. The honesty u have with youselves is quite admirable. I know it is difficult to socialize, I, too, always felt like I didnt fit in and still feel that way. I became so tired of the judgements passed on me and being called "the weirdo" that I have become immune to it. I now take people for what they are worth. It takes time to determine this. I also found that my thinking everyone thought i was weird wasnt always the case all the time. It was AS kicking in big time. Some people were interested in knowing me...they just didnt know how to approach me as I made THEM uncomfortable. It is hard for me to see or feel this...but I am working on it.

I do but it is based on routine because the things I go to are on the same day at the same time.
At the moment outside of classes, I am in my year level student council, 'Bella Diva' girls choir, Special Olympics swimming and basketball; St John Youth (ambulance cadets) and attend church. Sometimes though I kind of shy away until I feel comfortable. Once I do feel comfortable though, I sort of blend in and it is hard to tell I am 'different' from the others I hang out with.

I've never had a social life. I gave up during elementary school, when I realized it was just hopeless. Besides, a social life takes up too much time and energy that could be invested in things I enjoy.

I'd say I do. I love being around my friends and going to dorm parties and going to theme parks with them and movies and a bunch of other events! Though, I do like my alone time as well :wink:

I do, but my dad kind of worries that I don't. And my counselor is probably worried that I don't either.

But I do. I have my groups online and I speak with people where I volunteer, I go to a teen group at the psychiatric place. I would like to expand my horizons a bit though. Like get into an Autism group with people my age who have the same issues I do. :)
