Hmm, there have been situations where I have felt upset and did not confide in my mother. If I could reverse them I would because I definitely wouldn't mind confiding in my mom.

I never tell my parents any of my worries. I prefer to deal with them on my own... though I wish I could talk to them. They are way to preoccupied with their own insignificant lives to care about me at all...

Usually, although they don't know everything about me. I like to have some privacy.

I only go to my parents for help whenever I feel they can actually help me. Otherwise, I like my privacy.

I love my parents and all, but that doesn't mean I have to tell them every single aspect of my life, which I feel they're always wanting to know. If they sense that something's bothering me, they demand to know what's wrong, and I usually don't want to talk about it with them. I wish they wouldn't try to force things out of me.

A lot of times, when I don't want to talk to my parents about something, I'll go to someone else whom I can trust and talk it out with them.

No. I have good relations with my parents, but, for some reason I can't really understand, I never tell them about my problems.

I can't ever get along with my mom, but I do trust her. I can't trust my dad, but I've confided in him before.

^^^^^^^

Thank You :) if only I had this this instilled in to me at a young age. again things would have panned out much better......

Even in my time of need they turned on me, kicked me while I was down and I mean very down , I only got the diagnoses after a severe mental break down in my 20's , my GP saw the effect that had on me, he who is a garden variety conservative christian family man thinks I should cull them from my life , now that I'm pretty muck OK and about to return to work I'm going to take heed of his advise!

I never confide in my parents when I'm upset.
I'm too nervous I'd be grounded from writing (I COULD NEVER HANDLE THAT) and then I'd throw an angry meltdown.
Besides, they don't deserve to know.

Not really. I feel that my parents are too overprotective and I don't really like to speak to them about important things. Even though I've only had my diagnosis for 1.5 months, I feel that they've always blamed my behaviour on something. That makes it really difficult for me to stand up and share my opinions. No matter how much they say that they love me and want me to have a good life (they suggested that I might have Aspergers in the first place), just thinking about how this situation is to me makes me want to cry. I don't like it.

I try but my dad is overseas and my mother is always out of town. I can't trust my father, but sometimes I talk to my mother about my problems.
