No, because I'd probably just grow up and lose my individuality and spirit, not to mention that childlike curiosity that so many people have long grown out of. AS has brought me too many good things to get rid of it.

No. I don't enjoy having AS one bit, but for some reason I have this feeling that going from aspergic to Neurotypical overnight would be very difficult to adjust too.

you'd realise just how different you really were. But your brain would somehow change so it wouldnt be that bad, As with a computer, Like XP is AS, and windows 7 is NT, Its really different, But that computer copes, doesnt it?

Well, after a bunch of time, everything was f****d up and now I finally found out what is the matter with me. Couldn't be else: I am an Aspie! After this big discovery I do can explain myself pretty much. I finally can cope with it and I couldn't be more proud of my intellectual abilities.

No. I as I am currently would effectively cease to exist. Like if I was replaced by a different person. I hate having AS but it's as much a part of me as any of my other flaws, if not far more. Besides, I enjoy the benefits in mathematical situations.

they had it coming.

Never! WAHAHAHA!!:D OK, seriously, I wouldn't as I find most people boring. I like being different, and though it does make it harder to have friends, I think it means I get a few good ones who are accepting people rather than a lot of "friends" who just want to borrow money to buy drugs so they'll look cool for all their "friends" who want to borrow money to buy drugs so they'll look cool for all their "friends" who want to-- *So on and so forth*

No, I couldn't. Because by changing myself to an NT I'd be changing so many things about me and my life. I'd be a complete stranger to myself. I am who I am and trying to work on accepting it more.

It can be difficult not being an NT but I've always vowed not to follow the crowd. Being different can be good sometimes.

I would but I don't think I would lose any of my abilities. there are NT geniuses and artists and musicians and people like that. I think the social stuff and the special abilities are 2 different things.

I completely agree and also believe that changing to a NT would make me a very different unlikable person. The only problem though that I have being a aspie is the fact that the NTs are always breathing down your back but I wouldnt be able to get rid of them without changing myself too much, so I guess I better get use to it.

It wouldn't make much of a difference in me, I guess. I guess I would be more social. I used to be a bit more social and I sometimes have a tendency to fall into "groupthink". Sometimes not. I have an odd mix of HFA and NT traits.

If I can keep my positive aspie traits and interests, then hell yes.

Otherwise, maybe. More likely not.
