I've never smoked pot and probably never will. Even if it's a lot less dangerous than smoking and drinking and that addiction is pretty much non-existant, I don't need it.

Cannabis is one of the useful and versatile plants on the planet. Besides being by far the safest recreational substance compared to alcohol or tobacco, it has legitimate medical and industrial uses too. It can be made into high quality food, fuel, clothing, paper, and medicine. If legalized and taxed it would generate income for the government, plus it would end the hypocrisy of criminalizing people who use it and save money on police, court and jail costs. I do not advise anyone to use it, especially minors, but adults should not be punished if they use it responsibly for medical or recreational use.

I wrote a song about this in 1990 called Legalize. I deliberately wrote it with beginner guitar chords and in 4/4 time so it is easy to play. If you want to hear it, right after the title on that lyrics page is a link to an optional free mp3 download. Since I wrote the song, much has been accomplished towards recognizing the medical uses of marijuana, and the possibility of it being legalized for recreational use is not as far-fetched as it seemed back then.

i recently have fallen in love with groups such as Kottonmouth Kings, Cypress Hill, Los Marijuanos, 311, and The Expendables

i got grounded today cuz my parents found pot in my room the other day thankfully they didn't take my PS3, Xbox 360, or TV so yeah yay web browser

I'm stoned right now... do it every evening. I think I changed a lot since first doing it (about 1,5 years ago) ya, it destroyed my memory, which wasn't that good after all, but made me think a lot about myself and my relation to others, helped understand things that I never thought of, made me new friends and... I had lots of fun.

Anyway, it makes me really weird for sure. I tried speed (methamphetamine), that makes me feel and maybe behave quite normal and social. Really, I was making friends with everybody, it was so different. Sad thing it is highly ADDICTIVE, be very careful with it.
Worth to mention, medical sites list the ingredients of speed as a possible medication for AS. Do anybody here got amphetamines prescribed ever?

no unless Methylphenidate is an amphetamine idk i was prescibed it for a little bit last year

when i started smoking pot it didn't affect my memory much unless i was high at the time because my memory has been very bad my whole life so yeah but for me, it not only allowed me to be social but also got me to see the world in a totally different way and has affected a lot of my beliefs like even though im atheist i am very spiritual as well and seeing the world differently had guided me to my beliefs and they are based in science and logic i just use the term spiritual in more of a poetic sense of the word since i don't believe in spirits

personally i find that i am a much better man since i started smoking pot and i mean that in the sense that i have a MUCH higher quality of life now and im actually a happy person now except occasionally when my emotions accidentally slip out and i become depressed for like the next month

I've never tried marijuana, but after reading this thread, it sounds rather fun and safe. I might try it sometime. I don't know if I could get my hands on any, though, I have no social connections.

But if it's really such a wonderful, safe drug, then why is it illegal? Why does the U.S. Gov spend millions of dollars to prevent the sale and use of the drug?

google it. Pretty much it had a smear campaign against it because it was thought that hemp could be used to make newspaper. The more recent smear campaign against it is a "gateway drug", which has been proven to be a fallacy.

I will link the most recent argument on here about it in an hour or 2. The title was something like did you enjoy 420 or something like that.

I'm just curious if anybody's took it, and I would like feedback. "how does it feel" and "what it feels like". etc.

Sheer curiousity, that's all.

My "friends" use it all the time.

Never tried it, but probably will eventually.

Tried once, didn't like it.

For how it felt, well, I felt...dumb. I also fell asleep. But while walking around stoned, I felt...dumb. Basically all I felt was that I couldn't think as clearly. Pretty much the same effect as just being really tired, just without the irritability associated with being really tired. Overall, the only positive effect from pot was it did in fact make food taste much better.

Overall, I thought pot was lame and not worth the money/time/illegality to take it. I much prefer alcohol to "take the edge off" though yes, it's more dangerous than pot. Basically pot does the opposite of what I like.

Weed seemed awesome when I was about 14 and can't fault it really but then I got into dealing and the paranoia that brings along with the general distrust of people I had already was not a good cocktail which lead me to pack it in altogether.

Although im known for dabbling in it occasionally now I've "grown up" a little, I never waste money on the stuff even if it's good if I find myself not being able to sleep, but then again that's nothing a night cap or two can't fix :P
