since I was born in the mid 90's which wasa when the rates of birth of many autistic children rose, maybe a fad that could have dangered the child in the whomb to having it. tanning in the sun while pregnate ps one of the reasons children are starting to have autism, that could be one reason why I have it. Yet I am too high functioning for many of the big dangers of me being this way. my mom once said there are a few people on her said of the family who have it. I don't really know what to say.

Most scientists (nearly all) believe that the reason for the sudden rise in Autism was just because the definition was broadened and diagnosis became more acceptable--not that there was any actual increase in the rate of Autism.

As no one on either side of my family has it (though my cousin does exhibit some rather mild AS traits) I'm going to guess it probably had something to do with my premature birth. I've read that there may be a link between being born preemie and getting ASD's. If it's not that, it could just be that I am in fact a mutant alien species sent to Earth to vaporize the planet.

Genes from both of my family, all the environmental factors that people have hypothesized don't fit me at all. No antidepressants, no obesity, no sun tanning, my mother was younger than most other mothers, no lack of oxygen, ect.

I honestly don't know where I got it, Nobody on either side of the family seems to be on the spectrum...
