As a teenager(and still one in my mind) do you all think NT's are strange creatures? When Im in school(college) I seem to notice its just like highschool as far as the interests and popularity/social interests are. Most NT's in highschool were and still are into *hanging at the mall, having sex, going to parties, getting pregnant, making fun of each other(ie physical bullying+ some other things)using strange sayings etc, being rebellious, like to hang out and do weird things at parties, etc?
I thought this was a NT teenthing but I could be wrong? Anyone else find these NT teens to be strange?(I seem to notice that the teenager age is when all this stuff starts)
How do you getaway from it when yournot interested? Sometimes I go to parties and dancies but I only talk to a few people and just dance..(Like I did at Prom/other school dances)? Im slightly starting to become interested in more friendships but it seems that all they want is just sex?(just like teenagers here in real life?) In fact Idsay their obsessed with the *above things mentioned above? They say us Aspies are weird in my hmo us aspies are normal and their the oneswho are weird agreewith me?

If you ask me, we are probably the weird ones. I find most things NTs do strange and pointless or stupid, but the fact remains that there are more of them than there are of us. Because we are a minority in the world, we are definitely the "weird" ones, although the NT people do some really strange things.

A funny thing about a lot of NT teens seems to be their obsession with stupid activities like going shopping but not buying anything, and implying they might have sex, using indecipherable codes. They also go to parties, but I've never been to one, since most parties tend to be my definition of hell.

:)

I see most of them as fake, shallow shells desperatly trying to find an identity. at least as an Aspie u know where u usually stand and what role you play i.e "the weird one" "isolated one" etc... So we learn to live with ourselves just a little better than the NT's do, well in that aspect anyways. They have obvious advantages on us, but we have advantages on them, sometimes there subtle, but still there

Yes and no offense to NT's but I find academics easier? I dont know if its because I hyperfocus at school or something else?(I do have a NVLD that impacts school as well as AS)? I sometimes wonder if NTs would study more and not goof around that they might actually be smarter? Isnt school for studying anyways?

Define "normal". $50 says that it will differ from person to person, Or they will simply say "me". Everyone is different, and everyone has a different difinitive of the word "normal".

As for me, I dont actually have a definitive of the word normal.

Being normal is overrated.

I don't think the NT people who are all about going to the mall/partying/sex/drinking are a huge majority. There are lots who prefer more low-key lifestyles, and I've found it fairly easy to avoid unnecessary drama.

I wouldn't describe myself as normal, and I don't see 'normal' as something to strive towards. I'm not normal, but I'm also sweet, compassionate and smart. Those things are more important than being normal.

Then what about all the college parties? Every single one of them is loaded with college people drinking, smoking, and having sex with each other, just like highschool was?
Its like no one wants to be smart or anything and not get involved in that stuff. Im sort of tired of seeing violence, people getting pregnant in school etc. I dont know if its just my area or what not but I seem to notice that alot.
Granted their are some that arent into that but generally speaking you have to be in their group and most of them arent open to newcomers either :P

I am not in high school yet, but most of people at my school show desire to do all of the things you listed, and can talk about them all day. One of the older girls even said that being a pregnant teen is cool. 8O
