I hate MySpace. No, I don't have an account there, but I've seen it from a friends account. People lie about their age, say there song and blog is "pimped out", and post lies and false tales. One thing I like about it: there is a FOX TV show account that is entirely legal and I watch 24 there.

Anybody have something to add?

I hate myspace with a passion. Most people's pages look like they were coded by a neorotic five year old.

erm...I've got a MySpace and I like it, but I don't add people indiscriminately as "friends," and only have 12 friends so far and they are really my friends. I don't lie on the page except making myself a bit younger as my age is no one's business; I like to maintain anonymity on the Net and also because people my age usually don't have MySpaces. :D

I do think the most of the MySpaces are mostly full of lies and pretty lame, though... :P

Total waste of time, and bandwidth ! !! People post nonsense, and then opps! realize potential employers do a search of the stupid site. Total rubbish ! !!

MySpace is very popular at my HS, mainly it's used for music stuff and to connect with others.

I hate MySpace with a fury! After hearing stories of sexual harassment being connected to MySpace, I try to avoid it as much as possible. Try Blogger and thee will be automated into The Church of MySpace Haters!

Enough said.

Hate is a pretty strong word. I happen to like it, as it is a place where I can post a near complete image of my personality and interest in the vain hope someone out there will care. I don't really care how much other people "pimp" up their site; I don't go to many. I see no point in lying about my age, height or anything else because if someone doesn't like me for who I truly am, then I don't want to waste my time convincing them to like me through deceipt.

Back in the covered wagon days of the Internet (for all you literal minded out there, I am kidding, but just ;) we had Jerry and David's Guide to the World Wide Web that eventually became Yahoo.com, which was the MYSPACE of it's day.
I quickly degenerated into masses and masses of sexual exploration forums/chat rooms with a truly disgusting underbelly of child porn chat rooms, with things going on that would make todays "OH NO my child was talking to a preditor" look tame.

Back then, no one knew what was going on, because no one knew how to find what was going on if they WERE to know what was going on.

You can maintain your anonymity. Just take your age off the page, so there is no age shown at all.

I did give MySpace an honest try, as I had multiple friends tell me how great it is. Ultimately however, due to the mindless, brain-numbing atmosphere, as well as the constant messages I received from soulless women wanting to know if the (in all likelihood) fake pictures of themselves were attractive enough to justify their complete lack of attention to the development of brains, talent, and personality, I opted to flee to something more mentally stimulating. It's also worth noting that this wretched hole of a site has nearly destroyed our entire district youth group.
