Something Funny I read on the Internet but made me think

I was on Tv Tropes and well they made a thread about aspies/ Higher functioning Autistics the whole chat was very light hearted until it was brought up that some people seem to think its Trendy on the Internet to be Diagnosed as an Aspie or an HFA

so as my First offical thread on this forum would anyone on this forum agree with this statement that the Internet views it this way

In my own Opinion before I was Diagnosed some people on the internet may have [shockingly] treated it a bit like a trend

Anyway do you agree with this statement or whats your view on the matter

I have heard this before, but I have never seen it. Do anyone have a example?

I'm on one other "normal" message board and people regularly think aspies are ret*ds there, hardly seems trendy to me....

Most "Normal" Message Boards Ive been on really don't understand Autsim/aspergers in General they think its a contradiction an aspie/HFA could cry or be in a relantionship or could have a Faith ..Really it just falls down to people being uneducated about it
