I do have a myspace, I don't hate it, I do hate the way people act tough over it, and I hate the certain TYPES of people. Thus....

ArchTypes of MySpace

Please Comment My Pix = This person will beg and plead for comments on pictures that are almost always the same, high conntrast, or black and white with the bow or cigarette in their hand the same color.

I Got SoOo Trashed = This person is usually talking about how they "went upstate and got totally trashed" and because I didn't want to hear about your dumb time puking and sleeping, here are a few pictures of your "friends" puking on you and then drawing on your face with a sharpie

Binary Hottie = This person doesn't exist, she's an advertisment, mostly for porn or for other people to friend request you for other advertisments. And for some reason, one alluring photograph makes at least 12 "sexy" comment this person with quotes like "dayumn babe" or "hit me up honey"

The Promoter = Person who promotes crap like myspace trackers and is not phished/hacked OR believes that when he is phished/hacked that it is just the myspace tracker working, and that you should try it too.

The Bloodthirsty Typist = He will come after you, he hates your guts and he made your ex cheat on you and he's going to make your life a living hell but first he has to do the dishes, clean his room and finish up his paper mache project for the 1st grade science fair. This person types tough and thrives on making you paranoid, when really this person lives in the suburbs. Nice family too

Last but not least

Everybody's Best Friend = Usually has more friends than Tom, makes his or her own "whoring*" programs and will tell you to add [person] because he is awesome

*whoring software is a lil program that you put in user names and it adds everyone whos on there to everyone else's friend list, somewhat dangerous if made improperly

I do. Everyone lies about everything. Each person at my school who has it ends up with over 300 contacts most of whom they don't know.
People also make fake accounts for others, then put insulting messages on them. I've seen it happen to over 20 people at my school including the principal and an indian teacher. (Out of racism)

My neice's "friend" sent her a link to a site called "Find a Friend" and there was a picture of a naked man's unmentionables smack and the title was, "I love small girls" smack on the front page. My Space does actualy try to look out for this kind of thing and because of that it seems the perverts are going to other places.

I have always hated mainstream in general. Myspace is paramount to the social rituals and lies and high school drama.
"Life is pain...". I find that gothics I have known are not depressed. One kept telling his friend to stop making him laugh because he was gothic and therefore wasn't supposed to laugh. When I'm depressed I like things that cheer me up.

I like it because it's where I have all my friends and where I can find my school mates. I also do my blogs there but what I don't like is people I don't know adding me. I wish they send me a message telling me who they are like if they are one of my old school mates or what site they are from or if they are one of my online buddies.

One of the reasons why people lie about their age is because they don't want freaks going after them so they put down a false age. Few of my online buddies do that for that reason. Hello no one won't find you if you don't put down your personal information like your full name, your address, name of your school.

I despise MySpace. It's the dumbest website i've ever seen. Making it part of pop culture is even dumber! I'm sick of teens pressuring me and others to get a blog there, just to be "cool". People post pictures of themselves, advertise themselves to the public, and make all kinds of personal small talk online when thats what E-MAIL is for. When they do this on the world's most popular website, they can attract sexual predators in no time. Are their parents too lazy to put limits on where they go online? :shameonyou: If i ever had kids, I wouldn't even let them watch TV, unless there was something educational playing.

The problem I have with that site is that I can't read anyone's text because of the wild backgrounds. A lot of people have flashing stuff on their site, too, and that makes it impossible for me to look at it.

The bulk of the complaints against Myspace seem to be directed towards the people who are on it rather than the site itself. Personally, I find many of the people on it to be very fake and mostly not worth talking to. However, since all Myspace is is a personal website for you to edit how you like, you can easily choose to not be a part of that. I actually had my own website for a while, but I completely switched to Myspace just because it has better editing tools and more people are familiar with it.

I've come across many people that act in the ways KyTE317 has described, but when I find them, they get deleted. That's all you need to do. Make your friends list people who you trust and who don't do those kinds of things.

I'm such a hypocrite. i hate myspace, but i always talk online and I use blogger instead. But blogger is better than myspace! i hate how there are so many dumb teens on myspace who create amateur posts that are obviously written by teens (e.g. u r hot, u suck, n34t). Try to at least type like an adult, guys. That's why there is an English class! Plus there is really no need to abbreviate words, this is not like text messaging on you cell phone.

I love myspace.
It's an easy way to communicate with real friends.
Find someone to hangout with on those days where your so bored you wanna smash your head into the ground for entertainment.

I don't like myspace because most people's pages have so much there I can't concentrate to read them. And the music starts straight away and makes me jump. I hate websites with automatic loud music, although sounds effects are ok.

Myspace: Turning America into a nation of whores, one 16-year-old girl at a time.
