Has anybody had a bad meltdown during or after school?

Yes, definitely.

For years I would have a meltdown every day after school; you could practically set your watch by it. Sometimes I broke down at school too.

Happened to me more than once.
Expecially during elementary school. I had meltdowns a lot at the time.
It also happened a few times in middle school.
It happened fewer times in high school.

I'm far more likely to shutdown rather than meltdown at school.

Many times. Substitute teachers who don't know how to deal with me have taken away my laptop/notebook/phone many times... when I'm normally allowed these things in class to stay calm and take breaks from the actual work when it gets too much. I've broken down and cried then, and also when I've been yelled at to "PLEASE STOP TALKING" in the classes I have with friends. Again, substitute teachers.

Other situations have made me lose it in class too... like when they were discussing something especially morbid in year 7 and I started punching my desk, being scared of death (still am) and had to leave the room. That one made me an easy target for weeks. Also, back in primary school, I was an extremely sensitive kid and went nuts when we were reading Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes and my teacher mispronounced all the Japanese words.

Unfortunately for me I've experienced many "mental breakdowns" back in the past but I can't ever recall being part of an actual meltdown before...but even if I have been through a bad meltdown at school, I probably wouldn't be able to remember anything of it.

We were all watching a movie in the dark(educational)and this one kid went after me like they all did everyday and I just started crying,I dont mean just a little, it was a wet face snot cry. That little breakdown had been coming on for quit sometime. Then the little bag of dicks starts freaking out and saying he is sorry so I will stop crying so he wont get in trouble, not that the teachers was ever any help. When your a aspie kid you never really get social situations, you act different, do stuff that makes no sense to other people, so to other people I was a serious odd ball and stayed that way till about 5th grade when I finally got the hang of things, when I was finally able to better judge social situations. Those kids went after me everyday I went to school, I started to be afraid of going there. Had a couple break downs, some public like the one I mentioned above, and some in private.

After just getting out of an abusive relationship this past year, I had a meltdown in the middle of gym class.... some girl took me and locked me with her in the closet and helped me, I'll never forget her :)

I'm in high school and I still have meltdowns mostly because of my high anxiety.

Well... I had meltdowns and break downs for an entire year at school (seventh grade), and like 7 or 8 in lower grades (or that's what I remember).

In my secondary school I had some, I would say more than in primary school.. But break downs were present at least once a week.

Several times in elementary school, but I've learned to wait until I get home.

My family thinks I have an anger problem because of meltdowns, which is really frustrating. I told them about Asperger's meltdowns, and they don't believe that it's a thing.
