I'm not sure if anyone here has found success in getting friends or messages from this thread but might as well post my 'portfolio' up again.

I'm 16, turning 17, male, heteroflexible. My interests are music, acting, writing, video games and philosophy. I like to create electronic music with my computer and keyboard, with acting I like acting at school and am planning to audition for plays, indie movies, etc. one day. So at school I am always acting and put on a very confident persona. I like writing and reading and am working on a military sci-fi novel right now, called Destiny (unrelated to the video game). Philosophy, I like studying it and have developed an Existential mindset. I love having deep conversations about life, the universe, all that stuff. I don't know how to describe it but I am a laidback guy who likes the simple things in life, don't value materialistic things, a real minimalist, but at the same time have strong values and goals. Easygoing but like to be deep, yknow. I like laidback but smart people myself, people who aren't stuck-up or high standards in life and all that or shallow and love celebrities and pop culture and other stuff I consider trivial, meaningless drivel. Also, I'm an ambitious guy as well. I am always setting goals for my self and aiming for self-improvement in life. I hate the status quo, I am actually an aspie that LOVES change, and not the type of person that just wants to settle down and live a stable life and work the same job and all that other boring stuff. I consider myself adventurous and friends have agreed on this. Friends have described me as "Successful Tryhard", confident, calm, ambitious. I'm all for healthy eating and exercise, environmentalist, socialist economics, and volunteer work.

Thing is I normally don't like online friendships or relationships at all but there have been times where I can be capable of making an exception.

Anyway, that is my question if anyone who has already posted here has come back at all: Has this thread done anything for you or is it compltely and totally pointless.

I'm just curious as to know if this thread has done anything for anyone.

You mentioned that you are of Aboriginal origin. Do you feel attuned to the culture, while assimilated into the general society (for it is obvious that you are well-assimilated).

I've heard there is much prejudice against people of Aboriginal origin in Australia. Have you experienced much of it in your own experience?

You really seem like an intelligent and sensible person. I'm glad you are well on your way to becoming your own person.

Yes I am an Aboriginal Australian, however I'm only 1/4th. The prejudice is real I can tell you that, I see it and hear of it, but I haven't experienced it as much myself. Most people just don't seem to notice my ethnicity. Physically I look very 'racially ambiguous' - light brown skin, dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. Most people who guess my race say anything from Arabic to Mexican to Polynesian.

Thing is, growing up I've spent most of my time around the white members of my family and lived in the city most of my life, so I understand what you mean when you say I'm 'well-assimilated'. I do seem to stereotypically 'act white'.

I find it hard to get along with or relate to other Aboriginal males my age usually are very into sports like football, bike riding and other sorts of activities even more than a normal N.T. male. They are also usually more culturally involved than I am with many enjoy painting Indigenous art and being Indigenous dancers or musicians at events.

I do still have some care for my culture. I use to watch the NITV channel on tv (an Indigenous Australian channel), have interest in the art, religious aspects, etc. and want to attend events based around my culture in the future. But I will be honest in saying I'm very much culturally 'assimilated'.

My dad and his side of the family however (the Aboriginal members of my family), live a lot differently. I have a lot of relatives who live in rural Aboriginal communities and live different kinds of lifestyles.

I like history, language & linguistics, India and video-games.
I speak Dutch, English and a bit of Russian and Latin. Furthermore I speak a bit of German (though I understand much more as a Dutchie) and some simple and/or random stuff in many other languages.
I don't listen to normal music anymore; seriously, all I like now are Gregorian chants, game soundtracks, reconstructed music from Antiquity and mantras.
