Sadly I do. When I don't take them I start yelling at random people, sometimes without even realizing it. I also get very tense, and tend to stay up all night, then sleep the next day for 2 hours, resulting in not enough sleep, causing me to be even more angry. I also get sensory overloaded, getting mad at any little sound. If I get angry enough, I'll go to places just so I can beat up some guy. So basically without meds, I wouldn't be able to cope with everyday life.

Does anybody else have this problem?

Well, I take Concerta, an ADD med to control my focus. I do feel way messed-up if I don't take it every day. And look, if you actually need meds, and they're helping you, then it is a good thing.

It's some phrase that people have for people who get really mad and yell and scream at people, I kind of take it as all around getting mad, or having trouble coping. I think it's kind of like "Your a spaz" (whatever spaz is).

Well it would be. It used to be, until my doctor messed around with my meds. The new layout kind of helps, but not as much.

I was taking Risperidal (or however it's spelt) but apparently that med, after being on it for a really long time, causes a neurological disorder, causing your body to twitch and move unexpectedly (e.g. head twitch, arm moves around) without your control. So then he took me off of that, and upped the other med (can't spell it off the top of my head, it's a big long word). So it kind of works, but sometimes it doesn't.

I've been med-free for several years now. Being on an assortment of meds for ADD has really soured me personally on the concept, now that I have distorted sleeping patterns and considering that the things generally made me worse. I was on Concerta and Remeron (for depression) for a few months when I was twelve that helped me get "back on track," but I took myself off of them when I could and haven't had real problems since.

I do agree with TruenoBlues--if you take meds and they help you, it's good. If it's not, though... have you shared your concerns with your doctor?

The only medication I'm on related to mental health problems is Prozac.

I've never been on medication for "Freaking Out" though I rarely "Freak Out".

I take meds: Lexapro, Xanax and Invega. They have improved the quality of my life tenfold. :)

I was on Risperidal when I was younger and I made me different and made get more angry at people. Now I take two Magnesium and Vitamin B6. The vitamins work better than the Risperidal ever did and don’t get me even more angry at people.

The meds I'm on pretty much keep me under control, but recently I've ben having dreams where I freak out like I used to. That kind of scares me, but I think it's just because I'm going through some transitions and doubting my capabilities. I wish I didn't have to take the meds, no one around me except my parents and maybe my sister understands why I need them. It's very upsetting when I meet people at church or school who are so judgemental. Even my grandmother thinks I'm making things up and should just eat better. All I know is that without the meds, I wouldn't be able to spend ten minutes with my extended family without a major meltdown causing everyone hurt feelings.

I take medicines right now, but not for asperger's it's because I'm having depressive problems. Sadly they start to fade in effect and my angst attacks, self destructive urges, fury and comfort eating is knocking at the door.
