For clarification, I don’t have a diagnosis but i think I might have autism.
One of my special interests is problem solving and interpersonal communication type things. I don’t remember the exact name of it but it’s in the book “Siblings Without Rivalry”.
I’ve read it like 10 times. I’m better at dealing with my little siblings than my mom is, because I follow the exact wording and steps the book tells me to. My mom says she doesn’t think I’m autistic because I focus so much about interpersonal relations and stuff and if you’re autistic you focus more on mechanical stuff and numbers. Is that true? In any case, I follow the instructions of the book in a rather rigid way. I feel like autism makes sense for me, I’ve always felt different, and my mom agrees there’s something different about me but doesn’t think it’s autism. Does anyone have anything similar like this? Any thoughts?
