I learned from one of my friends that there was someone in our year at secondary school who was autistic, but my friend didn't know if it was Autsim or AS, don't think he spoke to him that often. I never knew him at all, although he was in some of my classes. I always wondered why he was so quiet though (it wasn't until I started sixth form college that I suspected I has AS, before then I knew nothing about ASDs).
I've finished my first year at sixth form, and all through the first year I knew someone in the second year, and when he was in his first year, it was thought that he had AS. But he went to doctors, etc, about it, and he wasn't DX'd. The only traits he had were obsessive interests and formal, pedantic speech. He has no communication and socialising problems whatsoever, or any of the other traits.
We got along with each other so well, and when I told him that I was waiting for a DX, he told me that it was thought that he had it, etc, and from then on I got really close to him. He was really understanding of me, and he was the only person I could happily talk to about my interests. My other few friends I have aren't easy to talk to, just like any other people. I can't talk to them about my interests, I just don't know how with them!

I don't have any other aspies in my school but I really wish there was one. Well, there's hope, a new schoolyear's starting and I really hope that there will be some new kid my age with Asperger's, preferably female ;)

Sadly it's darn unlikely.

By the way, my this is my first post on this forum.

As far as my knowledge of the student base on my campus, I am the only Aspie here. 15% on campus have one form of Autism or another and the other 85% are NTs

If there are any Aspies in or around the Alfred, NY area, give me a pm. I'd be happy to know there are other AS people around here besides me

uhhh...in my school I have no idea. School is for school work right? -_- no I'm just bad at the whole socializing thing. I live in my own little world, so I'm not to familiar with the real world other than book knowledge.

There might be another aspie in my school cause it's pretty big. Any apies out there from the
Pinellas County, FL area?

No, unfortunately. I think it's perfectly logical, because the most optimist ratio on the global population is 2.1 for 1.000 and the most pessimist 0.02 for 1000 inhabitants (same as 2 for 100 000).
And that hasn't helped my problem, because everywhere I would go, I was the "case" the "odd pupil".
And I thought nobody was like me before I was diagnosed and I discovered WP.
