Oh... my... god. That was all I could say when I read over this, I absolutely hate smoke. I can't smoke anything and have never even tried, I hate the smell, I don't understand why people would inhale fire, I have so many strange things about me I never could explain until I found out about asperger's even though I was diagnosed years ago I never cared enough about it to bother looking it up. Could the sensitivity to the specific smell of smoke be part of what I was reading about sensitivity to certain senses when I was reading about asperger's?

I cannot stand the smell of smoke, and I find it to be a completely disgusting habit.

I've never smoked but there are kids at my school who smoke. I even suspect one of my friends might smoke pot.

I smoke. Been doing it for about 35 years.
I understand why I do it now, and I am not thinking about quitting.
I am self-medicating, and I don't know of anything that does the same thing.
It's a quality of life issue.
(I don't believe that nicotine is my issue, so don't waste my time with gum or a patch.)
With so many other things wrong with my life, this is the least of my problems.

Smoking MIGHT kill you, EVENTUALLY. The downside is very much over-rated lately.
The crap the shrinks want to sell you is dangerous, has unacceptable side effects, is out of my price range, and the stuff I've tried doesn't do anything anyway.

When they find something that is less harmful than smoking, more effective and cheaper, I'll think about it. In the meantime, it makes me feel better.

I don't smoke anything anymore, tobacco really destroys my lungs. but I find I enjoy the smell of natural indian brand additive free cigarettes smoke lingering throughout the house that people I know smoke. They smell spicy. As long as it's only one cig in the room burning I consider it an inscent.

I chained smoked when I was pregnant because of anxiety. I wish I hadn't.

Also when I have been coming off drugs I chained smoked. You don't realise you are. It has been a comfort for me through some tough times.

It is good now I have given up.

My personal opinion on smoking is that it's an absolute waste of money.

If people want to do it I don't have a problem.. but it's when people do it around children it annoys me... they should go outside. Peer pressure is a very real thing and I do not hold it against anyone if they start smoking in thinking they're worse people or anything.

True. They should go outside anyway. I quit smoking in the house when I started having kids. "Your right to swing your arm ends where my nose begins."

Only thing I smoke is my pen whilst chewing it to peices and swallowing too.

Never smoked in my life?

Is it really bad that I have mixed Aspie/ADHD traits and have been diognosed with AS that I chew a lot and like to stick things in my mouth?
