Exactly. The NT-hate on this forum is ridiculous and in no way in the spirit of neurodiversity at all.

It is also fair. We are hated (well, I am at least) by NTs

What this thread is about is what we notice in general - the statement that there are some that don't follow this would generally be a given.

I forget who said the loud music in public thing, but I really dislike that. Or people that buy those designer headphones, but then instead of wearing them on their ears, they hang them around their neck and play at full volume so that everyone can hear them.

Why do they start of the conversation all happy and fun, but then when it's done they're all upset and angry at me? What did I do in-between before and after, and why didn't they mention that they were getting mad?

OK, I get that people don't know why NTs do certain things, but now this is getting a bit out of hand...

...there's no need to stereotype all NTs in a negative context; I know lots of NTs that are similar to myself, and ones that are for sure NOT immature, mean or insecure about themselves...or follow trends!

The obsession with celeberties. Ugh.

The assumption that people also have ulterior/selfish motives, or everything is related to sex. Ugh again.

Mine is the draw to drugs and getting drunk off of their faces. Alcahol I don't have as much of a problem with if done in moderation as I'm quite partial to whiskey and guinness but I just don't get why they can't just have a round with their freinds and have a good time instead of getting drunk and waking up with your face in an ant's nest or something.

I don't understand why shoes are so exciting.

This usually pertains to girls, but romance movies...and Twilight. I hate them. I prefer scary/violent/gory movies.

Justin Bieber, I don't even want to get started on this topic.

The Kardashians. Who wants to watch a show about a bunch of pampered princesses who are famous for being idiots?

Dating constantly. What's the point?

– Why bodily contact is a compulsory daily ritual.
– Why conformity is unspoken law.
– Why useless small talk is a sign of affection.
– Why sex is a casual and/or popular conversation topic.
– Why intelligence is inversely proportional to popularity.
– Why material goods (usually useless, impractical and excessive) is equivalent to social status.

5) Why the get soo emotional
6) Why they let emotions cloud judgement.

...well, you could argue that a lot of Aspies have pointless conversations aswell; I know I have them when I talk about my special interests and I have a random though that I feel compelled to share. Also, I cannot stand Art and I'm an Aspie- I know an Aspie that hates it, too...I also tend to be very impatient when I'm disinterested in something, particularly when I have Art homework to do, or with anything else of a creative nature.

I never said that these things weren't potentially universal traits. I just see higher frequency of this in neurotypicals...there may be bias since we are in the minority of course.
