It's easiest for me to talk to people in their mid-twenties or older. Kids a few years younger than me, like 12-14, are also pretty easy to talk to. My age group is the worst.

Lucky! They like you. Some kids my age detest me. Most don't, but maybe 15% do.

I will say very one has the right not to like you. However, no one has the right to be an ass about it. It is hard for me to make friends and i usually get along better with people older or younger than me (by at lease 5 years) but all my friends are my age. I think the reason why is that they are less stereotypical towards me. As for my friends that are my age we all share common interest and has similar histories. The younger none teenage kids look up to me and find me fun to be with. and the adults are accepting and know what we're going through. Were as fellow teens and stereotypical and are to obsessed with being popular.

I'm 26 and male but I prefer hang out with older people, for guys I like other guys over 25 because they know that life isn't just a big party, but for women I prefer anyone past her teens. Teens annoy me.

i have, my whole life, gotten along with adults better than kids my own age. kids my age make fun of my differences, it was even worse back when i used to have acne, bully me dont even bother to understand me but adults have always listened when i talk and go out of their way to understand me and Aspergers

I know! Some teenagers are so immature! And I'm a teenager and I think that! I get along much better with adults.

I'm also a teenager and I completely agree with you two.

Consistently females around 10 years younger than me. I have never managed a friendship with a male and the female brain is just a lot more understandable to me. They seem to be the only people i can stand to talk to.

I never found gender to be an issue. However, I find girls in their early to mid teens much easier to get along with than boys in their early to mid teens.

But with adults, it doesn't really matter. Both my closest friends are female but my 3 favourite teachers have all been male.

I get along fine with most adults and relatives, my almost 15 year old brother, other aspies/autists, and very young children, but everybody else I just can't seem to bond with.
