I feel a lot of emotion in music. I like classical, jazz and tango mostly. Other sorts like rock, rap and pop I do not feel any emotion for, although I can tell what emotion they are supposed to be portraying (mostly rage, it seems, especially with heavy metal) I do not feel the emotion. Maybe it is just because I feel somewhat contemptuous of those sorts of music... hard to say why.

I like music very much. There's the kind of music I listen to, and then there's The Beatles, who are like the obsession that has outlived all the others. But I would always choose being deaf over being blind, for an example, and I wouldn't go mad or depressed or anything. I wouldn't listen to it to put me in a certain mood, wouldn't rely on it etc. It's still important...I'm just trying to downplay my attachment to it, because loads of people are all 'oo I couldn't live without me music, it's me soul'. I am not a fan of exaggeration!
