Wanting to not hang with parents?

I feel the EXACT same way!! !! ! I thought I was alone!! ! I always hang with parents because I don`t have friends around here and the friends I do have a never see! So it is boring but I love my parents so much and I get along with them. I don`t ever wanna go on walks with them either. Last summer I told my dad that I was embarrassed about walking with him and my mom and he said, "ur not 15 anymore stop being embarrassed ur 21" and I got mad and threw a temper! I wasn`t gonna walk with them anyway he just suggested it.


1: I like your username. I listen to some Billy Idol songs, plus 217 is my birthday (Feb 17).

2: I think I will be embarrassed for a while.


OMG awesome!! !! !! I love meeting people who like Billy Idol too! I`m just surprised u know who he is at 14. People are surprised that I know who he is at my age too lol! But a lot of people seem to share my birthday! COOL! Why are u gonna be embarrassed? Because of hanging with ur parents?

Yes we do share a b-day with her. I get embarrassed too when it`s both my parents but not my mom I am very comfortable with her.

I'm supposed to be a Pisces, but I'm not totally sure about that. It's not like me at all. Maybe I should have been born 2 days earlier. :lol:

It is strange that I share my birthday with my mom though.

Yea, if my mom would just not care so much what others thought about her...unfortunately I am supposed to be a "reflection" of her or whatever.

For instance: I went to the store with her. I was bored, and listening to music and I stared signing to it. She berated me for that because it was weird. :roll: Like I didn't know that. She said that I shouldn't be the center of attention..but I was just signing to myself. People have a choice to look.

So, if they'd be more chill, I wouldn't mind....that's not the case.

For some reason I get really irritated by my parents, and I hate to talk with them or spend any time with them whatsoever. I feel like a biggest as*hole for saying that because they're probably good parents/people but I still can't stand them. I'm not gonna meet them again when I move out next year.

Yes, I would. Most of my friends are older than me and have more responsibilities than I do, which makes it difficult.

In regards to being alone, I'm not allowed to go places alone except for the mall, school and the local shops by my house.

I love my parents and don't mind places with them, but not all the time.

my parents are very embarrassing in public. They like to play hid and seek and dad likes to wrestle in public. I just like to sit in my room in my little dark space and listen to music. I hate being out in crowds where people draw attention to me. But I love concerts I can blend in to the music and the people don't bother me any more.
