See, with me, when I was in fifth grade I got along with the second graders. After third grade or so I no longer got along with my age group(until recently). I was always smarter than the other kids, but I was emotionally younger. Junior high was torturous for me. (That might be because of my almost daily meltdowns though) I got office referalls several times a week in junior high and elementary school I was sent to the principals office nearly daily. In eighth grade I was in a mental hospital for two different one an a half week periods.

Recently, I started doing theatre, and I can now get along with some of te kids my age. Of course, my best friend who's been my friend since I was three is the same age as me...

That's quite a tough question to answer... I'm both mature and immature for my age.

A friend said that I act like a ten-year-old when I get really frustrated though. Maybe I'm just emotionally immature and mature when it comes to certain areas of knowledge, I'm not really sure.

Too hard question for me as I mostly see other people (how they act) online and online gaming where the maturity level is through the floor and beyond so if I compare myself to other gamers online I must act very maturely but I can't really pin point certain age number as the 30ish year old gamers act like 12 year olds often.
I don't know how the maturity level acts elsewhere than games and gaming forums but the over popular trolling trend ruined games/gaming forums or internet in general.

I'd say I would act like 10-30 year older than I really am.

I'm 18, but I think I act like I'm 19 or 20. I could be wrong though. Possibly because of that. ^

I'm almost 15, probably acting around 12 or so most of the time. Oddly when I was younger(6-7) I acted a lot older, probably because I never did any kid stuff until fairly recently.

I'm the same way, unless I know that the person is enjoying themselves and really being themselves which I'm not exactly against because I can't change someone unless it gets to be a problem towards me personally when I don't enjoy being around that. If someone is interested in Spongebob at my age or just likes to screw around just for the heck of it, I'm okay with that. It's just them having fun in their own way (if I can't take I just get away from it). I just feel that real immaturity is when someone constantly overreacts to things or isn't willing to grow up. I have many more examples of real immaturity but I'm not really willing to put them here

When I was 12 I was stuck around 8 years old maturity. Now i'm almost 16, and somehow I've ended up acting about 26+, with seeminly nothing in between. When I freak out I still feel like a 10 year old though.

I'm almost 17 and I sometimes act about the same age as someone in their 20s. This is odd considering I have aspergers, however, I remember up until I was about 13 I always acted about 2 or 3 years younger than I was. For example, I didn't stop drinking milk out of a bottle and watching Tweenies until I was 11 years old. Similarly, I was still reading the Beano when my friends were reading Heat magazine. I think having social anxiety, as well as being a very consciencious person, has helped me learn how to act more appropriately for my age. The reason I would say I act older than 16 is because I'm very determined and focused, and I like studying more than socialising, whereas my 16-year-old friends don't give much of a toss about doing homework.

My family always said I was 'wise beyond my years'. I am emotionally immature, however. Sometimes I act 60, sometimes I act 12.

I watched Winnie the Pooh well into my teens.

That is weird, even for an autistic.

I'm 17 and usually act like a college age student because I'm almost always busy and level headed. When I'm tired or in a crazy mood I sometimes act like an 8 year old. My maturity changes depedning on my mood or the situation I'm in.

I wouldn't say that I "act" any particular age.
I just continue with my daily activities and preoccupations; some may perceive me as puerile, while others may perceive me as overly mature.
I'd have to say, though, that, overall, I'm fairly ageless. :)

I was tempted to put down 10-11.

In public and with adults or people I don't know particularly well I act polite and reserved. Not sure what age group that fits into (a lot of people think I'm 17-18 though). But at home and with friends I act kinda crazy depending on who I'm hanging out with.

I've always been behind my age when it comes to interacting with my peers- things like dating, social conventions, and my approach to socialization in general.

I've also been told that I'm very mature for my age, even wise, by adults, which I think is true in some ways. However, I used to have some anger outbursts, though I've got that under control now, and I still have some childish qualities. I guess my way of thinking could be considered mature, though.

You aren't ACTUALLY mature, you just seem that way.

Just like beginning of freshman year, I seem to have acted normal around some people, but I didn't think normal.

I think it really depends on the kind of maturity you're talking about. I'm behind the curve socially and emotionally, but I'm a kind, fair person who's level headed. Couldn't that be considered a form of maturity?

And do you really know me well enough to correct me about myself? It's okay, though, I'm not upset, and I'm sure you didn't mean any harm by it.
