YES!! I hate it! I thought I was just being strange, it's so nice to know other people share my feelings!
I hate the sticky floors, the dirty chairs, the close proximity to strangers, knowing people are right behind me, and the thundering noise of the movies.

I haven't been in 5 or 6 years do to hating it so much. If I had friends, who asked me to go I might force myself to go just to keep them happy. But by choice I'd never go do to a lot of the reasons already mentioned. Especially the noise other people generate, via eating, 'mobile phoning' and shouting.

i really don't care for the judder i see projected upon the large screen [much more noticeable than movies shown on the small screen tv set]. i'd go to see movies in theatres more often if they shot them at a higher frame rate [like the latest hobbit movie] where the noticeable judder was eliminated.

everything about the cinema that I hate has pretty much already been discussed (expensive, awful food, full of idiots etc), also, I find the exterior of a cinema as repulsive as its interior, especially multiplex ones, they're catastrophically ugly to look at, and there's always some other hideous places like bowling alleys nearby.

modern "shoebox" theatres invariably are constructed on the cheap, and so they have next-to-no sound isolation between venues. i don't like watching a quiet movie only to hear and feel the booms from the shootemup next door.

I dislike going to the movies or watching movies because they take so much time. You go in to the theater and it's light out and you come back and it's dark. I only watch movies that I really enjoy. My mom is always trying to get me to watch movies with her but I feel like it takes too much of my day.

I don't like cinemas either. Too loud, idiots talking during the movie constantly, and too expensive. If I want to see something new I'd rather wait 6 months for the DVD to come out and rent it from the Redbox. Then I can watch it from the comfort of my own home instead of in a public facility.

I LOVE the cinema. I too have problems with it sometimes being too loud, bright, or distracting. To stop that I just wear earplugs (helps a lot) or or just bring those 3D glasses with me and put them on. The latter confuses the people around me because they think we're in a 3D movie xD or they probably just think I'm weird...

I don't mind going to the cinema but I only tend to go when I really want to see the film and aren't patient enough to wait for it to be shown on television or released on DVD.
