I wish I knew what led to the paper being set on fire. It must have been bad.

Man, I have breakdowns in school more than anywhere else. It always goes through stages.
First I yell and argue at people. If that fails I try to leave the room or run from the cause of my stress. If that fails I either will hurt myself or the person causing the problem, depending on the circumstance. If God forbid that fails I'll dissolve into a rambling/shouting/crying/laughing maniac. Usually it will stop at step two. Never have I had the urge to set things on fire. Throw things, yes. Fire, no.

Have you tried medication or CBT?

I have only read the top message. At what age were you diagnosed. I know I was diagnosed before age 8.

Seriously, we set stuff on fire all the time in chemistry class. What's wrong with a piece of paper, unless it caused the fire alarms to go off?

...I really hate fire alarms. They make my head go crazy >>

One girl set her hair on fire in chemistry...lol But it was only very quick and she put it out almost immediately, so no real damage.
I have a remnant from every experiment on my lab coat. Heh.

did the fire you set cause damage to some other items, or burn someone else? i don't see why they would send u to court over 1 piece of paper.

Why the heck would you get arrested by setting a piece of crappy paper on fire? That's so stupid! But yea, I would know why you would do that.

In 6th grade, I had breakdowns but not voilent ones. I mostly cried and sobbered which ended up me going home or staying in the office for like 30 minuts or more.

One time I got upset at a subsitute teacher for not calling me by my real name and insted calling me my name my pairents signed me up as. I heard she treated the other students like crap thou...o(>__>)o FIGURES!

And some other time I got pissed at this one student who was messing up the desk when I was trying to sort them out orderly and got pissed at him. Well...at least he's not going to my school anymore.

the rest were just because the days were gloomy or school was being a b***h to me.

I had a breakdown once in 2nd grade because the kids wouldn't shut up. I didn't do anything violent, I just cried for the whole day and the kids looked at me like I was an idiot. But I honestly don't understand why setting a piece of paper on fire has to do with AS unless I understand the situation. But that's fine if you'd rather not tell...

when i have a breakdown i either break things or people. here are the stages of every meltdown i ever have:
1) start feeling dizzy and start shaking
2) start shouting and swearing
3) blackout completely
4) wake up with no recollection of what had just happened ( usually wake up either:
1) with someone half unconscious in front of me with people trying to resuscitate them whilst i am being restrained by other people / teachers.
2) with someone shouting at me whilst i stand in front of something i have just broken whilst shaking to high heaven.)

5) i run away and hide some where.
well anyway thats how it happens and as you can probably tell by the way it happens i have a big anger problem and yes that is true but i have never received help for it i have just been shouted at or arrested. sorry if this scares you because my meltdowns make people think that i am a freak.
