I'm neurotypical, but one of my best friends has Asperger's Syndrome.

His name is Randy and he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet - I just got back from a trip to an amusement park with him. :)

You're a very nice friend! Aspies make good friends too. Good that you & he are friends....sometimes Aspies are treated badly

My high school didn't have any Aspies in it. :(

I wish there were though.

I only know of one other person in real life that's also an Aspie. I've only talked to him a few times though, but I'll probably talk to him more often next year because he'll be in marching band (if he's still in band. I think he is, but I don't know. His sister plays one of the same instruments I do)

I know I've probably contributed to this thread before but I feel like telling you how many aspies/auties I know.
I know 7 aspies, am friends with 2, used to be friends with another 2 but we lost contact. One I used to be acquaitences with, she was also the only aspie girl I knew. One I didn't have much to do with and one I don't like.
2 auties, one who was pretty severe and was a client at a day centre I did a work placement at for a while, he was a nice guy and I used to play a "who wants to be a millionaire" DVD game with him quite alot.
One who I am sort of making friends with (I think he's mildish), both of our brothers are best friends, our mums are best friends and our sisters both get on well, so it would be cool if me and him were friends!
And I've met a few aspies/auties at other places to, but never really got to know them so they don't count.

Wow, some of you youngsters are so lucky. I remember having 4 classes with other aspies back in 6th grade, but I had to drop out of them the next year because some of the work was too hard to understand, but they were kind of fun, though. I also know a lot of aspies at my high school, too, and I'm also friends with one of them.

I have a friend with AS, but he's very high-functioning and I wouldn't have known if he hadn't told me.
