I think smoking is disgusting! People in my house smoke and I can't stand it!

my opinion: everyone at the age of 2 is to smoke a pack a day, everyone who survives to age 18 is then reqiuered to increase the amount to 2 packs a day, and so on and so fourth

(this should create some contraversy, *evil laugh*)

I hate the smell of cigarettes and cannot understand why people smoke, but if they do, it does not affect my level of respect for them.

i smoke marijuana daily. It really helps me become more social and relax, instead of always being uptight thinking about something i can just stay calm and enjoy the present. Social situations also come to me more naturally probably because im more relaxed and less worried about how im going to f**k up this time.

Even though its definitely not for everyone i say try it at LEAST once, i really think i would of committed suicide a long time ago if it wasnt for marijuana opening my eyes to all the wonderful things in my life that before i just took for granted. stay away from cigs though

I don't smoke, and I don't like the smell, blah. But I don't mind people that do.
I admit though I have been curious sometimes about what smoking a "legal high" would be like, like them herbs and stuff.

My opinion on smoking? I have a lot to say about it to be honest. I can describe my feelings of smoking in three ways; hatred, confusion and depression. I hate cigarettes with a passion, I hate smoking in general. I never smoked, and I would rather die than smoke. What I don't understand is what is so appealing about it? I mean really, I just cannot figure it out. It's disgusting, it smells bad and it's such a huge turnoff. Oh and yeah, we all know it kills millions every year. I will admit, I use to be very judgmental and automatically assume that smokers were idiots and losers but I know that's not all true. I use to think most smokers were bad people or outcasts. I know that's not true. Ironically some of the nicest people I have known smoke and I can never get myself to ask them why they do it? In the end, I know not all smokers are bad people, they are just controlled by that filthy product. In the end, I cannot help but feel not only confused but very sad because there are a few people I like who do smoke and I really wish they would stop hurting themselves. I know I cannot stop them. Every time they quit, they always go back. I just hope that if I ever do date a girl someday, I could tolerate her smoking if she is one because I have to face the fact, half the female population(at least in my area) are smokers. Another interesting fact that I do notice is that today, there are much more girl smokers then guy smokers. There really are. As an example, out of 10 girls I know, about 8 of them are smokers. For guys my age, out of 10, about 2 smoke. Strange, huh. In the end, I will never be able to accept smoking but I will have to find a way to tolerate it because it's not going away.

I understand the appeal of smoking but I do not do it myself and hope to never take up the habit.

People who smoke around the entrances to public buildings earn my ire; I have no qualms about going up to them and politely telling them to move. Why? My mother has asthma, and I don't like breathing that dren myself.

Smokers who insist on demonstrating a lack of consideration for the non-smokers around them lose a great deal of respect in my mind. They do NOT have a right to force people to breathe smoke, no matter what they or the law say.

Yeah I really dislike that a lot. Even when I smoked I'd walk an extra 100yards further away just so folks going in or out didn't have to do so in a cloud of my smoke. They'd be the first against the wall if I were in charge, they're already there anyway.

Anyone else think that the statistic above for people who have quit is so low because smoking is the ulitmate acceptable stim?

I gave up tobacco 10 months ago but I still can't go a day without smoking (just not tobacco), I have other ways of doing the same thing that don't invilve the lung and sinus irritation I get but I still smoke when I can.

Smoking Tobacco is the most stupid thing I can think of. I suppose if you want to commit suicide without it being obvious it's a good idea... and that's it. Anyone who starts now, knowing the dangers and that there are no benifits is a fool.

I don't care so much about people who smoke marijuana. I would never smoke the stuff but I can appreciate that they actually smoke the stuff with one benifit. That and the stuff seems to make them friendlier and less likely to pick on me for being different.

smoking = ew, nasty, gross, disgusting.

having your boyfriend smoke a cigarette then lean over for a kiss? happened once, never again. he was quitting, that was his last one and if it wasn't, he's screwed

will not do it because i have seen what it can do/does. one of my grandfathers died of lung cancer before my parents even met and my other died from being around smokers (he owned a bar/resteraunt) and the fumes from driving tractors and big rigs when he was young. oh and the fact that i'm a singer and i don't want to screw up my voice :)

I think that smoking is vile, terrible, disgusting and offensive. There is no way I could adequately describe how horrible I think smoking is. There is no word in the English language awful enough to decribe my loathing for smoking.

Smoker's breath is about the worst smelling thing on Earth.

Yesterday I went along on my brother's child support hearing. His ex-wife's husband is a smoker (as is my brother and his ex-wife ...EVERYONE'S a smoker :x ). And this guy sat next to me, an inch away, with giving me a play-by-play detail of all the heraings because he himself owes child support to several women. And BOY!, this was his moment to shine. So he sat next to me for the 9 hours it took for my brother's case to be heard. And the whole entire time he sat next to me, his face practically in mine with his venomous cigarette breath spewing in my face the whole entire day. It was unspeakably nasty. But I had to be cordial and civilized so I let him sit there and spew that toxic crap in my face the entie day. I spent the day and practically didn't eat a thing. I was sick at my stomach that whole day.

Smokers, may I please ask you to brush your teeth regularly?

I completely agree with you. My grand parents died due to smoking.
