I know 12!
...
Thats partly... okay mainly because my school has an "ARC" program.
So I know other high functioning autism kids.
One of them is completely obsessed with Science and brought a stretchy egg he made with vinegar and some other materials and is obsessed with Hydrogen and Gallium and those things... and he's my science partner :D
Then there is one who is obsessed with me and does what I do, listens to everything I say and tries to act like me. Yep, I'm a role model.

A couple, 1 in particular is apparently Aspie, but I didn't know until I saw his facebook page. He seems OK with touch and social, doesn't panic and make a fuss about reading out loud or presenting like me and his obsessions don't seem as powerful cos he was willing to stop talking about it when I started a conversation about it. I certainly am not, I go ooonnn and ooonnn about mine. He also talks perfectly normally, but so do I most of the time. I'm in his facebook top friends, but we don't talk much, he seems kinda harsh with responses alot. I just put it down to aspergers.

It would be really cool to know another teen with AS in person because then that might provide me with someone to communicate with who actually understands me. :|

Same here, same here. I go to a pretty small high school designed for the international community here, and I'm the only person I know with AS. Like, know at all. That's why I joined WP, heheh. :/

One of my friends recently revealed that he was an Aspie. I'd never have guessed though.

There's one guy I know who has Asperger's. Unfortunately, he has a terrible personality. He's one of the most racist, sexist, homophobic, intolerant, judgmental people I've ever met. He's always blaming that on AS, which is why so many people in my school have such a negative opinion of Asperger's.

I know one person in my grade, but she's an extrovert, completely opposite from my personality type.
Joy. I can't get along with extroverts. And she appears way more NT and integrated into the social world than me, because she's known about her AS for years and has done many things to help her cope with the social deficits that AS brings.

None of the other kids at my school know that I have AS, so I haven't gotten to know any other aspies at school. There are two kids who I'm pretty sure have it, but I could be wrong.

My best friend's little brother has it, and he's the only person I know well who has AS.

Hello, fellow Oregonian. Your post reminded me of one kid in my class who was really ignorant and racist. I didn't hate him, but he really frustrated me. He was in my graduating class, so I'll never see him again. Whee! :D

At my tiny school, there were two Aspies for sure: me and one younger boy who is also my next-door neighbor!...but once, I talked with my counselor about my AS, and she said there were others (more than one!) at the school who had varying degrees of autism.

I have a crush on one boy who may or may not be AS. The counselor (who I met with a few times before graduation) said that he had never talked to her, although that may've been to give him privacy. Considering that he may be AS, and that he lives in the same town as me, that may be three Aspies in a town of less than five hundred! Par-tay!

I have one HFA friend, but she moved away a few years ago. I have two Aspie friends and they're both fun people. One of them is the person who understands my theory of mind evenly and is an amazing artist and the other is, er, kind of perverted, but shares a similar romance life :(. He dated more people, and has definitely had more failures. In fact, one of our friends showed him a meme on facial hair, and his determined "never getting laid" :lmao:

I wish I knew more autistic people personally...
