(The second one is serious, by the way. It means to keep branching out rather than staying within your normal boundaries. It's more recent of a quote-to-live-by than the first one, though.)

I have many, many inspirational quotes I draw on in times of duress. I frequently feel irritated with other people, and dream of being alone in a quiet, secluded place, so this one by Jean-Paul Sartre is one I love: "Hell is other people."
Simple, but so true at times.
