I know one guy but we can be friends because our obsessions clash.

Yes... but I tend to ignore them, because I hate being lumped into the "weird" group and prefer to just talk with classmates who are normal enough to be well-liked but carefree enough to have their own interests rather than just following the crowd and accepting enough to want to be around someone like me. (Though to be fair, my symptoms don't show that much... medication has helped with them a lot.)

There are actually quite a few kids on the spectrum at my school, but I tend to be the one that, er, stands out the most.

I remember when I was in elementary school (from about 1st to 5th grade), my reading level was significantly ahead of that of my peers, and I would often become annoyed when they would misspell or mispronounce things that seemed downright simple to me. I knew that I was a smart kid at the time, but I had no idea how far ahead I was.

Yes, but I don't get along with them.

I know two other aspies at school, but I've only really met one. It was an interesting experience at first when we figured out we were both aspies. We spent the next few weeks talking about our traits and symptoms and he said he was glad there was someone he could finally relate to.

The 504 coordinator told me that there were only three aspies on campus who has the condition listed in their plan. I don't have a plan just yet, so there should be at least one more.

I suspect my best friend has it, but she has never been evaluated and now she is living in another state.
one of my university professors has it and everyone knows. Students in general think he is kind of quirky but they think he is sweet and intelligent and like him. I personally like him a lot. He uses the same clothes everyday and acts like hr is much younger than he really is, he has a girlfriend and travels a lot with the money he earns. It is good to know successful aspies.

There is one that is extremely depressed and walks around in circles because he can't communicate properly. He isn't severe and he can talk. It's just that he has been through so much. I try to talk to him but he's just always angry with himself and he tells me to go away. I'm still trying to talk to him though because I'm trying to pick him up off the ground.

Yes, and it was kind of awkward asking. I heard he had it, so I went up to him and said "can I ask you something? " He said sure, so I waited a second and blurted out "do you have Asperger's?" and he said yes. I replied with "cool so do I." and walked away :p
