Not really, unless I was daydreaming. In which case the fact that it was a wall would be perfectly irrelevant.

I can be perfectly happy staring at just about anything. A lot of time, I will stare at something and daydream, not even realizing I am staring. My brain never stops thinking, which as much a curse as a blessing I guess.

YES! I notice these sorts of things in markings on the tiles on the bathroom floor.

In regards to staring at walls, I don't do so because I find the wall itself entertaining, but because i'm most likely physically looking at it but mentally in another place. I stare at my bedroom wall a lot when listening to music.

Wow.. I've actually written a poem literally about that. Staring at the tiles on the bathroom floor I mean. Part of it goes:

One two three four
The tiles on the bathroom floor
Riddled with cracks, mazed with gaps
One two three four

I have till the count to ten
To run up the stairs
And down again
Or the consequence is death

I'd get bored to death staring at a wall, thinking or not.

If I'm staring at a wall I'm actually looking at it and observing it. When I'm daydreaming, which I do frequently, I don't really know where I stare. I usually daydream about really horrifying things happening at school. If I'm having a good day I day dream about video game type things. I've noticed that I daydream less when I play video games.

Yeah I stare at random stuff and daydream, sometimes people think I am staring at them or wonder why I am staring at pencils or whatever but usually I can just say I'm daydreaming and they'll understand, so I guess its not just Aspies that daydream :D

Well I guess I could if given the chance. Although I would possibly get bored later on.
If there was pictures and stuff on the wall it would catch my attention better.

This is exactly how I feel most of the time, most people don't seem to get that, I think if they went around in my body (From watching other people, and how they behave) they would be very bored from my daily activities. As long as my mind is active it brings me sometimes high levels of entertainment. People don't understand why I'd rather sit around and think then go to a party, but parties are largely boring and tiresome to me, just about every public place is.

Couldnt have put it better myself.

Not even my mum really understands, shes always saying to me "when I was your age I would never stay in you should get a social life blah blah blah crap"... Why when I am perfectly happy what I do now?
