I'm not really proud of it, but I'd rather be an Aspie than an NT.

^^ That makes me smile. I just sort of think of us as a totaly different race from NTs -sort of like elves. I guess I read too many comic books

I was going to make a thread about this^

I am very proud of what I am I don't want to be an NT..... I don't even feel human or want to be human.
I strongly feel that aspie is a diffrent race!

how I dream of aspies being in charge.

all right you and i seem to be on the same wave lenght here as the elves are beter than humans in every way and to some extent i see all NT's as the degenerate humans {no real ofense intened here} which the sport playing ones certenly seem to be to me drinking smoking and ect and they get paid do all that and kick a ball around whats so good about that ?we are the ones that shine the light in this world we are the ones that see no race couler or real difrence we are just one ecept that the NT's cant see things this way they are blinded by things that are ony surface deep though tere are the ocosional one that see like us :D

Neither proud nor ashamed. I see no reason to feel pride or shame.

Technically no.

But I don't complain or boast about it. It is what it is.

I approve of this idea. 8)

As for the proud question? ...I dunno. I mean, I was born with this, this is how I've been my entire life, and although there are a lot of things I'd like to change about myself I similarly couldn't imagine myself being any other way. Life would have a lot less suck if I were NT, though. Despite the satisfaction of being anti-society, I'd think it would still be much easier to be NT and to be able to cope differently to appease family and few friends.

No, I'm not proud of being an aspie, but I do love the fact that I have a brilliant memory, just wish I knew another aspie (There is 1 in my year group, but he's waay too weird, admittedly).

Yes, I'm proud of it. First of all, "normal" people mystify me. How is polluting your body with cigarettes and marijuana, having/wanting to have sex with one too many people (instead of just one), and insulting people supposed to be "normal"? What, once you're an adult you're supposed to be stupid? That doesn't make any sense. And apparently that's what passes for "normal" in the college I go to. Fortunately I don't know too many Aspies who are like that. Second of all, we don't have to serve in the army if we don't want to. I hate war, in any way, shape, or form, and that includes serving in the Armed Forces. "Dying for your country" is just BS, no offense to anyone who believes otherwise, though. If it takes stupidity to truly be a "normal" person then I'd rather not be one.

Actually, come to think of it there's a lot of religious people I know of who are "normal" that don't do any of the stuff I mentioned...but I'm not religious either and I'm ambivalent in my belief in God. Plus I find that some of them (although not all of them) can be hypocritical (if there's any religious people on here please don't take this the wrong way, a lot of my mom's side is religious and I really like them).

The only nonreligious people I know of who still have an air of "innocence" about them are other Aspies. I feel honored to be included in such company because they are one of the few people who make sense in the world.

I'm not proud to have AS, because it would be foolish to have pride in something that one has not affected.

However, I'm very glad I have it.

Pretty much sums up my view.
