what is your room like?

Beautifully messy, and it's not only me. My room's seen better days. The walls are cracking and leaning, the paintwork is patchy and there's some very sloppy repair work on the ceiling where my dad once fell through!

Oh thank you for this topic. I love my room <3 I don't have photos of it now, but I could get some. So now I'm not going to shut up about it.

The door is covered in House stuff (including this) and the inside is always messy. It's small, which means I have nowhere to put stuff, but it suits me as long as my mom doesn't come in and step on a pencil or something. I rarely clean it, but I guess it could be worse, 'cause you can still walk some places if you're careful. It's ocean-themed; so I have fish posters, one wall painted blue, a fish carpet, fish curtains, a fish clock, plastic fish hung on the blue wall, and a mobile with cloth fish on the ceiling. They spin above me

And I have three shelves. They're full of comics and notebooks and photos and toys and all sorts of stuff. They're all overcrowded. I have a desk with my own computer, tablet, spinny chair, and printer. I've got crap all over the printer and the CPU. Even my mousepad has scraps of paper on it most of the time. I usually can't move without knocking something over.

The bed is five feet tall, with a touch lamp over it so I can read in the dark. It has a hollow space under it where my drawers and clothes are. And behind those and on top of it I have about 50 stuffed animals. There are always tons of books and drawings at the foot of the bed, and some under that have fallen. There are also pencils and pens everywhere, and I have lots of junk in handbags 'cause it won't fit anywhere else.

The room is about 95% paper. I love to draw, so almost all the drawings I can remember are stacked and scattered around, everywhere. I have probably more than 12 composition books with different purposes, from my songwriting to drawing to language studies. None of them are entirely full, but the old green one is getting there. Plus the hundreds of books and comics I mentioned.

Plus a big part of my bookshelf is for CDs. I have a lot in all genres, and the rack is full with old kid computer games I'm too lazy to throw out. So it takes me forever to find CDs when I look for them. The cases are stacked and cracked. On top of the lowest bookshelf, the cage and supplies for my snake sit. So he lives right next to me and sleeps all day.

And the closet has more books and drawings and software and comics. Plus fancy clothes. I really have nowhere to put things. So yeah, that's my wonderful room. I should get you guys some photos soon and stuff.

My rooms pretty large, it connects to a guest room, and I have my own bathroom and it's upstairs, theres painted clouds on the ceiling, with glowing plastic stars on the walls and some on the ceiling, I have 2 beds, one used to be my brothers but since my older brother moved out, he took his room.

My room is neat as a pin (I can't stand messes) and I have a guinea pig with three guinea pigs in it in my room too. I have turqoise bedding with flowers on it =]

Other people's living areas is something that's always interested me. Here are some pics I snapped of my room. I have a bit of a blue theme going on, if you can't tell.


Here's my trusty TV, complete with VCR and DVD player, and my stereo. You can also see my alarm clock, which I always set to the exact time on the satellite TV receiver.


And here's my table, in it's normal cluttered state. This where I draw, read, write, etc. It's actually the kitchen table that my dad's family used as a kid. (The mini Christmas tree is there because I took these pictures in December).


This is my bed. I used to have a big loft bed with a futon underneath, but I got tired of it after a while and got rid of it last spring. I also used to have all-blue sheets to match the blue theme of the room, but that was years ago and I've moved on to different sheets since then.


And finally, this is my ceiling fan, which I got with a $20 Meijer gift card. Those things hanging from it are shoelaces...I'm not very tall, and my brother broke the real pull chains.

My room is covered in LEGO Bionicles.

My room is very messy. I've got jeans, shorts, socks, books (encyclopedias mainly) and lots of old newpapers.

My mother says "untidy room, untidy mind" and I say "irrational, emotional maternal parenting unit who places value on the room and not the person".

Btw I'm 18 y.o.

I actually have some very strict rules for what should go where in my room, even if you can't see it and everything is ofc not where it should be all the time. My walls are black, because I had to repaint myself after cowering the WHOLE walls with random pictures from news papers (just for the effect). It was quite cool though.. Pity I don't have any picture avabile of that.

i might post pics once i finish painting my room
but for now...ummmm...light blue walls (they're gonna be darker w/ music notes and my photos all over), a desk that is nearly unusable for actual school work and stuff b/c i have so many books and other stuff all over, a dresser that is covered in all of my other crap, a couple of chairs and a cedar chest @ the foot of the bed....oh and absolutely no room to walk

My room is both messy and in order.
My desk is the most messy, then the books, but the other stuff is clean.
And, yes, my bed is messy till I go to sleep. I tidy up my bed just before I lie down in.
