Computer games (specifically, modding them)
The Paranormal (EVP, ghostly things primarily)

Most of all: Missingno. (an unusual glitch from the Pokemon gameboy games; it causes me to have a panic attack, but I find it fascinating anyway).

Why would they? You just told me. Is that also an obsession? Telling someone something and then telling everyone else to keep it secret from the one you just told? I'll never understand you humans. Wait, you're not human. I'll have to change it to "I'll never understand you people who aren't me."

Oh, god, I used to be absolutely obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine and Pokemon (back when it was just the first 151). When I first got red version for my 10th birthday, I played it so much that I could literally hear the music, even when I wasn't playing it. When I got the Pokemon Handbook, however, was when the obsession REALLY started.

Anyway, my current obsessions include but are not limited to video games in general (been my obsession since I was something like 6), and the alien civillisation I'm writing about. Obsessions I've had over the last year or so include...

Cyber Nations
Battlestar Galactica remake
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
A variety of rather complex forum games
The Beyond Good and Evil world
The Resident Evil backstory
The Metroid universe
Ogame

My narrow interests include:

Animals (which has now progressed to real research and will probably become my profession)
Physics (quantum mechanics, string theory, relativity, etc. Basically any astrophysics)
Jeeps! (OBSESSED)
Philosophy (Kant, Hume, Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, etc. and recently Dawkins)
Religion, or a lack thereof
Music (history of classic rock)

And basically any thrill-seeking activity (like skydiving).

I can best describe my obsessions in just a few things.

Math.
Knowledge.
Love.

Now, to expand upon these things:

For math, well yeah. I just really like math in general. Idk.

Knowledge is more special. I like sciences, sometimes, but classes on them often bore me because they go much, much too slow due to the other people in the classes. String theory is lurve. <3 Similarly, there's psychology, sociology, philosophy, religion, and other bits about the workings of the mind. One of my biggest things here, though, is I. Love. To. Learn. I don't care what it is. I want to know it. I may become disinterested in the topic once I've learned it, but dangit, I WANT TO LEARN! If I could, I would take Every. Single. Class. I. Could. The problems being that it would be expensive and I'd have to do work. I don't really like to do work, I just want to learn things and know how to apply them, and maybe I could apply them later, but I really just don't want to work.

And love. Yeah. I become quite obsessed with girls (or even boys). Unfortunately, I'm very much closer to the stalker variety who watches rather than talks with them.

Well, my biggest ones now are I Love Lucy, neuropsychiatry (especially OCD, Asperger's, and bipolar disorder- have the first two, just find the third extremely fascinating), A Beautiful Mind, Frank Sinatra's music, FDR, and American history (specifically 1914-1945). As a toddler, big ones were pregnancy/obstetrics, Pink Panther, Garfield, and road signs. A big one when I was twelve and one that is still pretty big now is Cedar Point's rollercoasters. I've also always enjoyed height requirements for amusement park rides.

It's hard to draw the line between an interest and an obsession, but I know that my current obsession is Homestar Runner. It seems to be fading away at the moment, since I don't wake up in the morning already thinking about it, and I don't always have the webpage open when I surf the internet. But I do still think about it most of the time, and relate it to everything I see, so that's how I know I'm still obsessed.

Before that... Okay, in reverse chronological order: The Codename: Kids Next Door movie; Clone High; South Park; Futurama; the roleplays on a forum I frequented; a forum I frequented; Codename: Kids Next Door; Tales of Symphonia; Chrono Trigger; Earthbound; Fairly Odd Parents; Ed Edd n Eddy; The Powerpuff Girls; Dexter's Laboratory; The Weekenders; Lilo & Stitch: The Series; Red Dwarf; Kim Possible; Discworld; Spongebob Squarepants; A Series of Unfortunate Events; Artemis Fowl; Sailor Moon; Obernewtyn; Vampires, Pirates and Aliens; the Horrible Histories cartoon; Dragon Ball; Digimon; A different forum I frequented; Banjo-Kazooie; Animorphs; Yoshi's Story; Animorphs; The Neverhood; Wallace And Gromit...

That goes back to when I was eight. Before that, I don't remember what I was obsessed with, but I believe my first obsession was Care Bears when I was around five. I believe Super Ted and Choose Your Own Adventures should be in there somewhere.

Why yes, I do like books, games and cartoons. How could you tell?
